Mark Ahasic is based in the New York area and has over 20 years of experience in airline and airport management, air service development, planning, operations and passenger experience. He has held both management and consulting roles, including Director of Operational Planning and Manager of Corporate Planning at JetBlue, Associate and Senior Airport Planner at Arup, and Senior Manager of Airport Services at ICF/SH&E. Mark’s effective leadership, project management, business development and public speaking skills complement his proven technical skills and industry insight. He has completed dozens of consulting and management projects throughout the U.S. and on other continents, with specialties including aviation strategic planning, air service development, airport privatization, operational improvement, operational readiness, airport planning, and enhancement of the passenger experience.

Mark’s experience during the pivotal early years of JetBlue has given him a keen understanding of the U.S. Low Cost Carrier (LCC) market and what is required to launch and sustain a successful LCC.  His LCC perspective is both from a strategic/network and operations/innovation standpoint.
